I don't know how to write
That's fine, we weren't used to writing articles when we were in your position. By going through a series of redrafts you'll be able to learn how to write concisely and succinctly about a topic of your interest and that will stand you in good stead for the medical application process and beyond.
What can I write about?
That is completely up to you. You may write about:
Current affairs (using BBC Health for inspiration)
Medical research (using BBC News for inspiration)
Medical ethics (using Inside the Ethic Committee for inspiration)
Get in touch at: and we can help you select a topic of interest as well as give you advice on how to write your first draft. We will then be able to review your article and once we're both happy with the final product, we'll be able to upload it onto our online journal. It can then be a great feature to include in your personal statement.
